[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, a Saudi company is in the lead in the negotiations for the naming rights of Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium. Since its opening in April 2019, the stadium has not had a naming sponsor. However, it is understood that Tottenham is close to finalizing an agreement, with negotiations now entering a more advanced stage. A dealmaker has proposed two candidate companies: one is a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), and the other is unrelated. Both parties are exploring legal feasibility to avoid conflicts with Newcastle United, which PIF owns 85% of. There is no guarantee yet, and Tottenham has also been in contact with American companies. But the negotiations have reached a fairly advanced stage, with senior government officials involved. The Tottenham Stadium, which can hold 62,850 people, is the second-largest in the Premier League, with only Old Trafford (74,197 seats) being larger. Tottenham’s home is also a multi-purpose venue, hosting NFL games, concerts, rugby matches, and boxing events. For the 2025/26 Premier League season, Tottenham may become one of seven clubs with stadium naming rights. These talks come as Tottenham won the Europa League in May and are making major signings for the summer.
