[Saba Sports News] The Super 750 Denmark Open currently underway in Odense, Denmark, and the upcoming Super 750 French Open next week, are the last two BWF World Tour high-level tournaments of the season. These consecutive back-to-back high-level tournaments present a great opportunity for the world’s top badminton players to compete for points and make a push for qualification to the year-end Finals in December. This is especially true for the Chinese national badminton team. As they will participate in the National Games in November, Chinese players will miss several BWF World Tour events. Therefore, in these two high-level tournaments, several members of the Chinese team will face intense competition. Currently, on the BWF World Tour standings, in men’s singles, China’s Li Shifeng and Weng Hongyang are ranked third and fourth respectively, with a points difference of 5800 between them. Since Shi Yuqi won the Paris World Championships and successfully secured a Finals spot, the other Chinese men’s singles ticket for the Finals will likely be decided between Li Shifeng and Weng Hongyang.
