[Saba Sports News] Blackwater managed to keep their quarterfinal hopes alive with a 111-94 rout of all-Philippines team San Miguel Beer in the PBA Governors’ Cup, The game was played Saturday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

With SAN Miguel’s outside kicker Jordan Adams out with a hamstring injury, Blackwater’s efficient outside kicker George King made the most of it, scoring 49 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Not only did King hit four long shots from beyond the quarter arc, he also hit two from beyond the arc in an explosive display that helped Blackwater improve to 4-5, tied with NLEX for fourth place in Group B.
With only two rounds remaining in the group stage, Blackwater battled Road Warriors (NLEX) for the last spot in the playoffs. For the Jeff Cariaso-coached team to advance, though, two conditions need to be fulfilled.
