[Saba Sports News] Defending champions TNT and NLEX are back on the same starting line and will face off in a “tiebreaker” for a spot in the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals.

NLEX avoided falling to 0-2 in the series against TNT, the top seed in Group A, with a hard-fought 93-90 comeback in Laguna Santa Rosa on Friday night. The win was a strong rebound from NLEX’s 107-102 loss to TNT in the opening match and gave the Group B fourth seed a big morale boost.
Next up, Sunday at 5pm, will be a crucial third match at the Yanares Centre in Antipolo, with the winner taking a step closer to a place in the final four.
NLEX head coach Jong Uichico said: “It’s a confidence boost for us. Knowing that we can play against a No. 1 team like TNT gives us confidence that we have a chance to win this series.”
