The 2025 Korea Masters will be held from November 4th to November 9th in Iksan, South Korea, with a total prize pool of US$240,000. In the bottom half of the draw, World Championships dark horse Victor LAI is the tournament’s second seed. He will face Kazakhstan’s Dmitriy Panarin in the first round. At this year’s World Championships, LAI made a surprise run to the semifinals. In his match against world number one Shi Yuqi, he managed to cause significant trouble. LAI is a player whose game is based on technique and a defensive counter-attacking style. He possesses solid net skills, produces shots of good quality, and is flexible and varied. However, LAI’s tactical approach can be somewhat one-dimensional.
