[Saba Sports News] Trent Alexander-Arnold made his debut for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup and, after the 1-1 draw against Al Hilal, spoke to the media about his efforts to learn Spanish. Arnold said, “This is a very proud moment for me, and I am delighted to make my debut. This experience is something most players dream of, and I am incredibly proud. Of course, I’m also a bit disappointed, as being a Real Madrid player means carrying the belief that every match must be won. But the new coach, new teammates, and new ideas bring positive elements, especially the foundation shown in the second half that will serve as the cornerstone for future wins.” During his unveiling at Real Madrid, Alexander-Arnold delivered a speech in Spanish and revealed he had been learning the language for several months. However, when questioned by DAZN reporters after his debut, he smiled and requested, “Let’s use English, especially after a game it’s hard to concentrate enough to speak Spanish.” When pressed about how long he had been learning Spanish, he responded that it had only been a few months, but he felt it was important to quickly adapt to his new country, city, and team.
