[Saba Sports News] The driver lineup for the 2026 F1 season has been officially confirmed with the latest announcement from the Red Bull junior team. The junior team confirmed that Liam Lawson will continue as the main driver, while 18-year-old rookie Arvid Lindblad will move up from F2 to Formula 1 to race alongside Lawson. On the same day, Red Bull confirmed that Isack Hadjar would be promoted to the main team next year to partner with Max Verstappen, which means Yuki Tsunoda will step down from his position as a full-time driver, ending his five-year F1 career within the Red Bull program.Records show that Lindblad had an impressive performance in the F2 season, securing several podium victories. It’s noteworthy that at just 18 years old, he has become a highly regarded driver. This year, Lindblad received special approval from the FIA to obtain his super license before his 18th birthday, and he stepped in for Yuki Tsunoda during practice at the British Grand Prix, demonstrating his capability to compete in high-level events. Expressing his excitement about entering F1, Lindblad stated that it feels like a dream come true, and he is very grateful for the support of Red Bull’s junior development program. He acknowledged that 2026 will be a significant challenge, but he is ready for it.
