[Saba Sports News] Before the match between Roma and Fiorentina, Edoardo Bove, a Fiorentina player who once played for Roma, returned to Rome six months after suffering cardiac arrest, receiving warm encouragement from Roma fans. During the 14th round of Serie A, when Fiorentina hosted Inter Milan, Bove, who was loaned by Roma to Fiorentina, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during the game and was rushed to the hospital. Bove was discharged 12 days later after having an implantable defibrillator installed. This round of Serie A, as Fiorentina visited Roma, Bove also made his first visit to a full-capacity Olympic Stadium in Roma since the cardiac arrest. Although he hasn’t been able to return to the field yet, Bove still attended the match along with the team and was warmly welcomed by home fans, moving him to tears. On the south terrace, fans displayed a banner reading, “Edoardo, don’t give up, keep chasing your dreams.” Born in Rome, Italy, Bove grew up in Roma’s youth system. The Italian U21 international was loaned to Fiorentina last summer and his contract with Roma extends until 2028.
