[Saba Sports News] The New York Knicks are headed into a must-win Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, facing elimination on the road against the Indiana Pacers.
Their season remains alive after a dominant 111-94 victory in Game 5 — a win fueled by the leadership of Jalen Brunson.
Brunson set the tone early, finishing with 32 points and five assists as the Knicks controlled the game from start to finish.
With the Pacers still holding a 3-2 series lead, New York will need to replicate that performance on Saturday to force a decisive Game 7 at Madison Square Garden.
In a video shared by SNY TV Knicks Videos on X (formerly Twitter), Brunson discussed the mindset the team needs to keep their playoff hopes alive.
“In order for us to win, we’ve got to believe. Continue to trust in what we do… Don’t quit,” Brunson said.
That belief will be crucial against an Indiana team that hasn’t lost back-to-back games since March 10 and will be eager to close out the series at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
New York’s defense stepped up in Game 5, holding the Pacers to a playoff-low 94 points. Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson provided toughness inside, while bench contributors like Landry Shamet and Delon Wright delivered valuable minutes.
To extend the series, the Knicks will once again rely on Brunson, who’s averaging over 33 points per game this postseason. A Game 6 win would set the stage for a dramatic Game 7 at MSG and give New York a shot at completing a thrilling 3-1 comeback in one of the NBA Playoffs’ most exciting matchups.
