Sports News] According to British media reports, Liverpool are considering
bringing back former director Michael Edwards after the confirmed departures of
Jurgen Klopp, his coaching staff, and current sporting director Jorg Schmartke.
There is a growing belief within Anfield that this presents an ideal
opportunity to entice Edwards back to the club. Edwards left Liverpool over a
year ago after serving for 11 years. He subsequently co-founded a data
consultancy with Ian Graham, Liverpool’s former research director, which is
currently assisting a Premier League club. Although Edwards reportedly has no
intention of resuming the role of sporting director, Liverpool are said to be
seriously considering offering him a more significant position in the team’s
new reorganization. With Klopp’s departure raising concerns about Liverpool’s
future, the potential return of Edwards, who has a deep understanding of the
club, seems like a logical choice. It would be interesting to hear the opinions
of Liverpool fans on this matter.
