[Saba Sports News] The Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying session has concluded, and McLaren driver Oscar Piastri did not secure pole position. Piastri commented: “Wind direction changed drastically. From Q2 to Q3, it almost turned 180 degrees, and the feeling in many corners completely changed. Although blaming the wind sounds silly, it really affected our performance this time. I felt very bad on my first flying lap in Q3 because I hadn’t adapted to the changes. Then I felt better on the second lap, but it ended up being slower. It’s not easy to judge the situation under these conditions, and maybe our execution wasn’t perfect either. But I’m still surprised we didn’t go faster. However, starting in second place isn’t too bad. Charles Leclerc was fast all weekend, even closer than we expected. There were definitely some changes. He drove very well today – congratulations to him. His performance was stronger than I expected. I didn’t think we’d lose to Ferrari this weekend. The actual race should be very exciting, and there might be more people joining the battle.”
