[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré has been banned from driving for one year due to speeding. It was reported that Sangaré was caught driving at 36 miles per hour in a 30 miles per hour zone on April 12, 2025, by a camera on the back of a police car. Sangaré admitted that he was the one driving the £200,000 silver Mercedes G63 when the offense occurred. He was caught on the B769 road at 11:33 AM, less than a mile from Nottingham Forest’s training ground. It is speculated that he was heading to training at the time.
Currently, Sangaré is competing with the Ivory Coast national team in the Africa Cup. He pleaded guilty through a simple procedure, so he did not attend the sentencing hearing on December 16, 2025. The violation resulted in Sangaré accumulating 12 penalty points on his driving license, and the local magistrate ruled that he would be banned from driving for 12 months. He also has to pay a fine of £220, a court cost of £120, and an additional fee of £88.
