[Saba Sports News] With the conclusion of the knockout rounds of the Copa America, Brazil unfortunately exited the tournament in the knockout stages, losing to Uruguay on penalties. This outcome has sparked dissatisfaction among many fans, with some openly calling for the dismissal of coach Dorival Junior. However, in an interview with the media, Brazilian Football Association Chairman Ednaldo Rodrigues expressed his stance on the matter. He stated that Dorival will not be dismissed and will continue to lead the team in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches. Ednaldo said, “Dorival’s tenure with the Brazilian team is still in its early stages. It would be detrimental to the Brazilian national team to make a hasty coaching change at this time.” This implies that the chairman of the Brazilian Football Association has faith in the new coach. Despite the unfortunate elimination, Brazil believes that the coach still possesses the ability to lead the team. It has been reported that the Brazilian team has now returned to China, and players will either report to their respective clubs or enter vacation mode in the coming days. The next match for the Brazilian team will be against Ecuador in the World Cup qualifiers on September 4.
