[Saba Sports News] After introducing an upgraded version of the RB21 car at the Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull received positive feedback. Although Max Verstappen still lagged behind Lando Norris of McLaren by 0.318 seconds in practice, team advisor Helmut Marko stated that this was a step in the right direction compared to previous gaps. The upgrade focused mainly on the design of the chassis edges, with Red Bull equipping the RB21 with a new edge wing to improve local downforce and airflow stability. According to Marko, rising temperatures may bring new variables to the car’s performance, and the temperature on race day will be an important observation point. In our view, although the effects of this upgrade haven’t fully materialized yet, Red Bull’s technical innovation at home has clearly taken a key step forward. Whether Red Bull can use the new configuration of the RB21 and Verstappen’s consistent performance to counter McLaren at the Austrian circuit has become the biggest highlight of this weekend’s race.
