[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, the conflict between Matheus Reis from Sporting CP and Andrea Belotti from Benfica in the Portuguese Cup final has escalated into severe harassment targeting the families of Brazilian players. It is reported that Reis’s wife, Rodriguez, disclosed on social media that after the team won 3-1, they received numerous death threats, rape threats, and kidnapping warnings. Reis’s wife posted a video stating, “I think it necessary to expose some of these threats. I haven’t shown everything; what’s released here is less than 1% of what we’ve received. Some information has already been handed over to our lawyers. They’re investigating who sent these threats. We continue to report more threats, and the lawyers are handling this matter. From now on, I don’t want to think about this anymore. I thank everyone who sent supportive messages. These are the messages I opened and read; the rest will be handed over to the relevant authorities.” The incident reportedly originated from an altercation during the Portuguese Cup final. At the time, Matheus Reis stepped on Benfica player Belotti’s head.
