[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, the Spanish FA’s competition judge has decided not to intervene in the “Franco Mastantuono registration case”. However, the president of the Spanish Football Coaches’ School is considering whether to appeal to the disciplinary committee or take the matter directly to ordinary court. Miguel Angel Galan, head of the Spanish Football Coaches’ School, had accused Real Madrid new signing Franco Mastantuono of playing improperly and is now considering his options because he believes wrongdoing occurred. Galan believes Real Madrid and many other clubs violate Spanish FA rules by registering players who will only play for the first team in their reserve teams. Since no team filed a complaint regarding Mastantuono’s appearance against Osasuna for improper registration, Galan requested the competition judge initiate an investigation ex officio, but the judge decided not to proceed. The Spanish FA also issued a resolution statement: “The submission by Mr. Miguel Angel Galan Castellanos is rejected, as Mr. Galan submitted to the Single Judge of Competitions an issue of a disciplinary nature that falls under the jurisdiction of the corresponding bodies of the Spanish FA.” Nonetheless, Galan does not intend to give up. Although he disagrees that the issue is disciplinary and believes it should be resolved by the competition judge – claiming he is not reporting an improper lineup but pointing out a breach of rules – he is considering whether to appeal to the disciplinary committee or directly file a second-instance appeal.
