[Saba Sports News] As we approach the halfway point of the 2024 F1 season, the FIA has started planning for next year’s competitions. Recently, F1 announced that there will be six sprint races in 2025, which will take place in China, Miami, Belgium, the United States, Brazil, and Qatar. The only change is that Belgium will replace Austria, as Austria will return to the traditional schedule after hosting sprint races for three consecutive years. Data shows that the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil has held a sprint race every year since the introduction of the format in 2021, receiving positive reviews from the audience. The Qatar Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix will both host sprint races for the first time in 2023. The sprint format is expected to remain the same as this year, with only one practice session and sprint qualifying on Friday, followed by the sprint race on Saturday morning. Afterward, the parc ferme will be opened, allowing teams to make adjustments to their cars and prepare for the race’s qualifying session in the afternoon. Sunday’s race remains unchanged. Some fans have mentioned that the main purpose of F1’s sprint races is to increase the excitement of the entire race weekend, enhance the viewing experience, attract more attention from fans, and further promote the development of Formula One.
