[Saba Sports News] Timothée Chalamet opted out of attending the Met Gala with Kylie Jenner to spend the evening watching Game 1 of the Knicks-Celtics playoff series—and he shared his night on Instagram (via *TMZ*).
He first posted a photo of his computer screen showing the game, accompanied by a praying hands emoji. Later, as the game intensified, he added text posts: “S\*\*\*\*\*\*g myself this game is insane,” followed by, “Shaking. What a win.”
A longtime Knicks fan, Chalamet has been closely following the NBA Playoffs. Just last week, he and Jenner were spotted at the Intuit Dome for Game 5 of the Lakers-Timberwolves series. His exact location during Game 1 remains unclear, but he wasn’t in New York City, where the Met Gala was held—likely due to filming commitments.
Chalamet picked a good night to stay in. The Knicks pulled off a stunning comeback after trailing by 20 points in the second half. They outscored Boston 55–39 to force overtime, then clinched the win with an 8–5 edge in the extra period.
Mikal Bridges led the team with 51 minutes played and sealed the win with a crucial late steal. OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson paced the offense with 29 points each, while Karl-Anthony Towns grabbed 13 rebounds but was limited to 14 points.
The Celtics struggled mightily from deep, hitting just 15 of 60 three-point attempts and shooting 35.1% overall (34-of-97). The Knicks, meanwhile, shot 42.5% from the field and a scorching 45.9% from beyond the arc (17-of-37).
Game 2 tips off Wednesday, May 7, 2025, before the series shifts to New York for Games 3 and 4 on May 10 and 12.
