[Saba Sports News] Since Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has publicly complained about car issues multiple times, his father Jos Verstappen has recently spoken out again for his son. He stated that team principal Christian Horner is responsible for getting the team back on track and that if his son ultimately leaves the team, Horner should take responsibility. This incident occurred during the Singapore Grand Prix when Red Bull showed signs of competitive recovery. Horner believed he played a key role in this recovery process during a post-race interview, which Jos Verstappen found unacceptable. Jos stated, “We cannot sugarcoat things; the situation is serious now. Max will not be satisfied with such a car. Now, Horner has the responsibility to get the team back on track; if Max ultimately chooses to leave, Horner should take responsibility.” It is reported that Mercedes has been keen to sign Verstappen, and even though they have already confirmed their main lineup for the 2025 season, they have not given up on the possibility of signing Verstappen in 2026.
