[Saba Sports News] Recently, questions about the future of Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur have intensified, especially after he left early before the Austrian Grand Prix for personal reasons, missing the opportunity to see Charles Leclerc step on the podium and Lewis Hamilton bring fourth place for Ferrari. Amid ongoing discussions about leadership changes due to poor performance, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff rarely publicly supported a rival, strongly backing Vasseur. Wolff said in a post-race press conference that Ferrari has become a phenomenon of frequent leadership changes in recent years, and the constant turnover of team principals over ten years has prevented the team from establishing a long-term stable development path. He emphasized that truly successful F1 projects require time to polish, using the example of former Ferrari team principal Jean Todt, who took eight years from joining Ferrari to winning his first championship. Wolff also said that if he were to leave Mercedes, he would choose Vasseur to replace him.
