[Saba Sports News] Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is facing new legal allegations from the mother of one of his children.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a 37-year-old woman named Ayesha Howard claims that Edwards initiated unprotected sex and “unilaterally removed a condom during intercourse without my consent.”
The allegation was made in response to Edwards’ legal team, who argued that Howard intentionally tracked her menstrual cycle to become pregnant, despite Edwards allegedly not wanting a child.
A paternity test has confirmed that Edwards is the father of Howard’s child, born in October 2024. Howard filed a paternity suit in California, but Edwards contends that she resides in Georgia and only filed in California in an attempt to obtain more favorable child support terms.
In her latest filing, Howard included a screenshot of a text conversation in which she allegedly confronted Edwards about removing the condom. In the exchange, she asks, “You don’t like condoms?”
to which Edwards reportedly replied, “I do but not those ones.” Howard responded that she let it happen because she liked him, adding, “I’m hoping you have some discipline with your lifestyle and all.”
Howard is now the third woman to publicly accuse Edwards of misconduct related to a pregnancy. She also included a screenshot in which Edwards allegedly encouraged her to get an abortion — a claim similar to one made by another woman in 2023, which prompted Edwards to release a public statement. A third woman previously accused Edwards of being an absentee father and shared alleged text messages with him on social media.
Despite the off-court controversy, Edwards has played a key role in Minnesota’s playoff run, averaging 26.5 points per game across 10 postseason appearances. The Timberwolves recently defeated the Golden State Warriors in five games to advance to their second straight Western Conference Finals.
