[Saba Sports News] Recently, Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda recalled his qualifying crash at the Imola circuit, saying he was momentarily worried his body “was going to fall apart.” During Q1 at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Tsunoda entered the second Rivazza corner too quickly. The car spun backwards into the gravel trap, rolled multiple times after hitting the barrier, and came to a stop right-side up, though his VCARB 01 was severely damaged. Tsunoda had to start the race from the pit lane and eventually finished 10th, securing one of his four points scored for the team so far. His future beyond 2026 remains uncertain. Describing the crash, Tsunoda explained: “I thought my body was going to fall apart left and right. I remember every single moment of the crash clearly, which is a good thing. I saw the tyres flying off, but my neck was completely fine, and I raced the next day. It was a pretty big impact, but luckily, I was unharmed.” However, the crash significantly affected his subsequent races, as the damage led to a parts shortage, meaning his car specification differed from Max Verstappen’s for an extended period.
