[Saba Sports News] According to UK media reports, Arsenal player Oleksandr Zinchenko has received a £300,000 tax bill. This comes just months after Zinchenko concluded a court case with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) over an unpaid tax amount, which the player lost. The bill he received relates to unpaid corporation tax. This news emerged this week after Zinchenko placed his image rights company into voluntary liquidation. This company had been used to manage part of his career earnings, including those from winning four Premier League titles with Manchester City before his transfer to Arsenal. In February, tax officials had sought to shut down Zinchenko’s image rights company over an unpaid tax bill during a High Court hearing. At that time, the player’s representatives promised the tax would be settled. The specific amount owed was not disclosed during the hearing, which lasted only a few minutes. Additionally, Zinchenko received a £35,000 bill from the accounting firm handling his tax affairs. It is reported that Zinchenko’s weekly wage at Arsenal is £150,000. HMRC began winding-up proceedings against the company last September. However, during the London hearing earlier this year, the court was informed that a settlement had been reached between the parties.
