Former NBA All-Star Gordon Hayward has announced his retirement via a statement on social media.

The 34-year-old Hayward was traded from the Charlotte Hornets to the Oklahoma City Thunder in February but played sparingly for the Thunder.

Robyn Hayward, wife of NBA player Gordon Hayward, expressed her displeasure with recent comments made by Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti.

Hayward had a minimal impact during the Oklahoma City Thunder’s playoff journey, and the veteran believes he could have contributed more if given the chance.
