Sports News] After the World Cup in Qatar, Manchester City coach Josep
Guardiola made comments stating that Kalvin Phillips, upon his return to the
team, was overweight. Phillips later shared in an interview with the media that
this period was challenging for him, mentioning that Guardiola’s remarks
affected his self-confidence and caused distress to his family, particularly
his mother. However, Guardiola recently addressed the issue during a press
conference and apologized to Phillips. He expressed remorse for his comments
and stated that he had personally spoken to Phillips to convey his apology.
Guardiola emphasized his sincerity and stated that he genuinely regretted his
actions. Whether Phillips will accept Guardiola’s apology in his heart is not
known, as it ultimately depends on his personal feelings and perspective.
