After the Bahrain pre-season testing, current McLaren driver Lando Norris discussed the driving experience of the new car in a media interview, stating that the MCL39 feels very similar to the 2024 season car but has encountered some issues with rear stability.

The 2025 Bahrain pre-season testing recently commenced, but the first day encountered an embarrassing incident when a regional power outage interrupted testing for over an hour, severely slowing the drivers’ testing progress.

Recently, media unexpectedly captured reigning World Champions McLaren testing their MCL39 car at Silverstone. Unfortunately, the team was prohibited from revealing the regular livery of the car before the F1 season opening event, so the MCL39 was displayed with a special livery featuring the team’s traditional papaya orange and black camouflage design.
